Softwear Photoshoot & Marie Claire Article
Recently, I had the privilege of working with Sabrina Zohar (@sabrina.zohar) who is the founder of her own female-owned and operated sustainable and ethically made fashion brand out of Brooklyn, NY called Softwear (@wearsoftwear). I was able to do a beautiful photoshoot for her helmed by the very talented photographer Cooper Gordon (@coopergordonphotography). Most exciting of all is that her company was featured in an article in Marie Claire’s online magazine in the “20 Women-Owned, Small Fashion Businesses to Support [During Covid-19]”.

"The Stunods" Finished and Submitted to Festivals
A bit of good news amongst all this corona craziness. The Stunods is officially finished and currently being submitted to festivals by our amazing director Joe Rocco Plescia. We have already been accepted to the Jersey Shore Film Festival and it will (hopefully) be screening from June 23-30. We hope to keep the screenings rolling in and the good news flowing for about this totally badass film. I’m very proud of it, and can’t wait to see where it goes. Til then… stay safe and stay sane.
"I was unbecoming then" Postponed due to Covid-19
It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that the upcoming rehearsals and performances of I Was Unbecoming Then have been postponed due to Covid-19. For the sake of everyone’s safety and the success of the show we have put this beautiful piece of art on hold for the foreseeable future to keep our community safe. Fear not. We will be back and better than ever once all this craziness has surpassed. This piece of theater needs to be seen now more than ever, and it will be when the time is right. Til then… stay safe.
"I was unbecoming then" Music Rehearsals
I am so excited to be back in the room with this team of FIERCE women working on this complicated, beautiful music for the upcoming production of “I Was Unbecoming Then” at The Tank. We will be performing for the entire month of April, so you have no excuse not to come and check us out! Ticket links and more info will follow soon!
"The Cherry Orchard" at Columbia University
I am so excited to be playing Anya in the upcoming production of The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov at Columbia University, directed by Rakesh Palisetty. This production is part of the second year MFA directing curriculum, and will be performed in the Shapiro Theater, one of the many beautiful theater spaces at Columbia University. This show is going to be beautiful, funny and heartbreaking. Just the way you like your Chekhov to be!
The show will be performed November 1-3 at 7:00 PM at the Shapiro Theater. More information on tickets to follow.
Reading of "Summer Blues"
I have the absolute pleasure of performing the brand new by Summer Blues written by Ashley Minihan and directed by my amazing friend and incomparable artist Taylor Reynolds. The play is apart of the Love Drunk series of plays where each playwright is given a vintage photograph to base a story around. You can find the photograph Ashley was inspired by below.
The Love Drunk series is being produced by Six Part Productions and performed at The Drama League on September 8th at 11:00 AM, with brunch and chatting to follow. The link to the Facebook event is below! Come join us by the pond in 1961!
UPDATE on "Possessive"
WE HAVE AN UPDATE, PEOPLE! Our lovely director Nick Assunto was asked to do a inspiration write-up about how we made Possessive in a rented cabin in the woods with ten days to film everything, a director serving as the entire crew, four actors running amok, one hair and make-up person helping us look anywhere between dead and alive at any given moment, a photographer capturing the process, a whole lot of practical effects, and lot of fun. This piece is a really fun glimpse into how we did this and why I think it’s going to be pretty epic when its all done and ready for audiences.
REVIEW of "The Shoebox"
WE WERE REVIEWED and it went well! We got a lovely review on Broadway World about the recent production of The Shoebox performed at the Connelly Theater in the East Village as part of the SheNYC Summer Theater Festival. Here is a little snip of the review below, and if you want to read the whole thing click on the button that says REVIEW!
UPDATE on "The Shoebox"
BIG NEWS! We have sold out both performance on The Shoebox by Kate Brennan on June 19th and June 21st. But don’t go crying yourself to sleep because we now have an additional performance! If you didn’t snag you tickets in time for the first two nights please join us on June 25th at 7:00 PM at the Connelly Theater in the East Village for our added showing of The Shoebox.
I am so excited to have the opportunity to tell this story one more time for all of you, and hope that you’ll come join us for this early 2000’s fever dream.
"I Was Unbecoming Then" produced by Joust Theatre Company
I have this pleasure of participating in a workshop production of I Was Unbecoming Then by Lyndsey Bourne, directed by Ilana Khanin with music by Sam Kaseta. The show is being produced by the powerhouses at the Joust Theatre Company, and will be performed at the Penthouse 1 theater space at Shetler Studios (244 W 54th Street, 12th floor).
I will be playing the role of Daisy alongside eleven other amazingly talented women telling the story of a competitive high school choir in 2006 and its secrets. Through confessional, pseudo stand-up comedy sets, and original, genre-bending choral music, twelve girls grapple with changing hormones and harmonies.
This show has some stunning music, some stunning women, and some stunning revelation so COME SEE US!
"The Shoebox" produced by SheNYC
There are so many fun things coming up this summer. One thing in particular that I am super excited about is playing the role of Kristen in The Shoebox this June. I have the pleasure of working on this brand new play with a fierce, entirely female team of creators as part of the SheNYC Summer Theater Festival. We will be performing this piece at the Connelly Theater in the east village. We only get 2 performances unless we sell out the house both nights, in which case we get a third performance, so lets get HYPED PEOPLE and get your butts out to see this show.
Here is a little tease for The Shoebox:
It’s 2007 and four high school best friends Hannah, Lauren, Emily, and Kristen gather in suburban New Jersey to write letters to their future selves. Unbeknownst to Hannah, the other three girls are planning to leave the night early to go to a party. When the girls reunite ten years later to open their letters, they are forced to reconcile with their relationships to the past, each other, and themselves.
Convinced? I thought so. The link to the SheNYC website is below to keep you updated on all things FESTIVAL and the link for tickets is also below for you to click on! SO BUY THOSE TICKETS!
"Bypassing" Short Film
I am very excited to announce that I will have the pleasure of working on the short film Bypassing written and directed by Joe Plescia in late-June. I will be playing the role of Vicky a young punk living across the street from one of her favorite local bands. She is constantly under watch from her father, Vince, after being caught in her bedroom with the lead singer of said band. She's looking to get out of the burbs by any means necessary. I am so excited to join this team, and get going on some punk rock summer vibes.
"The Origami Swan" Premiere at Cinepolis Chelsea
I am so very excited to announce that The Origami Swan premiered last night at the Cinepolis Chelsea theaters in NYC. We received the awards for best screenplay as well as best cast which we were all absolutely thrilled about. It was such a pleasure to work on this film and watching it on a big screen for the first time was a pretty magical experience. Our fearless director and writer, Marine Brion, will be taking it both nationally and internationally to all the of the film festivals possible. So here’s hoping there is more good new coming in the near future! Until then, here are some stills I managed to sneak while in the theater as well as our beautiful poster created for us by Sophi Miyoko Gulsbrants, Jackson Joyce and Austin Welch.
Reading of "Twelve Angry Men" by Twelve Impassioned Women
I have the HUGE honor of being asked to participate in a monumental event. “An incredible cast of talented New York women will lend their impassioned voices to a reading of the classic play, “Twelve Angry Men” by Reginald Rose, as part of a nationwide initiative called 12,000 Voices. During the weekend of April 5-8, 2019, women on stages across the country will read the classic play, which demonstrates the power one person can have when they speak with conviction in our judicial system.” I will be reading the role of Juror 10. I am so stoked to stand amongst some bad-ass women and lend my voice to a play that really needs reading right now, especially by a pack of fierce ladies.
Read more on the flyer below to find out additional information on the nationwide movement and how to reserve tickets for the special event!
NYU Graduate Design Program Reading of "The House of Bernarda Alba"
I have the absolute pleasure of reading the role of Adela in the play The House of Bernarda Alba by Federico Lorca for the NYU Tisch Graduate Design for Stage & Film program. Over the course of the semester they will be creating costume design mock-ups and set design models for the play. We have the great honor of reading the play aloud for them for the first time so they can feel the world and help capture it to the best of their ability. I cannot wait to see what they come up with for their finished products!
"Possessive" Feature Film
I am SO pumped to announce that I will be acting in my first horror film EVER, but this isn’t your runt-of-the-mill horror film. This is a horror film that pokes fun at horror films. You’ll get all the thrills and chills of a horror film along with some big laughs at how silly this whole genre can be. I will be playing the role of The Agent, a spooky girl who shows up exactly when you don’t want her to, and manages to cast a pretty gnarly spell in service of her new lover, who is a ghost.
We will be shooting this fun flick in Big Bear Lake, CA in an actual log cabin. So bust out the popcorn for the laughs and the cozy blankets that are big enough to pull up over your face for the horror because Possessive is here to serve you both the thrills and the fun!
"Between" Short Film
I continue to be lucky enough to be cast in wonderful films alongside wonderful creative teams. Next up is Between, a film about a patiner who is struggling to get a woman he’s never met or seen in real life out of his mind or out of his dreams, if you will. If you’re asking, “Who’s playing this ‘Dream Girl’?” Well. That’s me. I will be playing the ever-flatteringly named role of Dream Girl. I will have the pleasure of working with my good friend Brooke Cirillo on bringing her omnipotent, spooky script to life.
We will be shooting over the course of a week in both Bridgeport, CT and Queens, NY.
"The Origami Swan" Short Film
I am SO excited to announce that I will be playing the lead role of Lizzie in the upcoming short film The Origami Swan directed and written by the very talented Marine Brion. Lizzie is a sugar-baby by day, and struggling visual artist who’s grown up her whole life not knowing who her father is. It’s left a large hole in her heart and perhaps she’s been subconsciously filling that void by interacting with and befriending older men through her line of work. But in this incredibly honest story of searching for something you never had in the first place Lizzie may uncover something she shouldn’t have found in the first place.
Although we’ll be shooting throughout Brooklyn, I will have the pleasure of working with an extremely talented crew who are almost entirely natives of France, so maybe the next time we speak I’ll be a fluent French speaker! À la prochaine!
Acting Class with Carly Zien
For the next 4 weeks I will have the pleasure of working with the always inspiring, and exceedingly practical Carly Zien. I will be a part of her new series of classes at Heidi Marshall’s studio in Union Square entitled: [Re]Vitalizing Your Technique. We will be delving into the tips and tricks to tap into when you’re stuck preparing for an audition, as well as the best ways to keep inspired in tough moments and how to find the joy in the process of cultivating characters.
